“ This is my 2nd time coming this week, the seafood is really fresh and varied, there's steamed crabs, oysters, salt grilled fish, several kinds of prawns and clams and a buffet with ready made thai classics, it's really popular for a reason, it's around 800baht all you can eat ”

Tongtalay offers a unique open buffet where you collect all the fresh seafood you want—prawns, squid, fish—from a display. You can either grill it yourself over charcoal at your table or hand it to the staff, and they’ll take care of it for you. The setup is relaxed but efficient, and everything is Halal, which made the experience even better. The seafood was fresh, the atmosphere casual but well-kept, and the staff were genuinely welcoming. The mango pie for dessert was a nice surprise—light, refreshing, and full of flavor. Toward the end of the meal, we had a lovely chat with the owner’s wife and their daughter Mimy. She shared some solid local advice on places worth visiting and what to avoid this season due to the weather. I’ll absolutely be coming back the next time I’m in Krabi. Highly recommend it. ”

“ Crazy place! Good seafood, attentive service, and delicious desserts – the roti is a must-try. During peak hours, things can get a bit hectic, especially with the steamed crab . People rush for it, sometimes getting impatient and causing delays, so you may need to wait another 15 minutes for the next batch. The sauce station is impressive, with plenty of ingredients to create your own mix, ranging from sweet to several levels of spiciness. They also offer a variety of prepared dishes, such as crab curry, garlic and chilli shrimp, and much more. For lighter options, there are fresh vegetables to boil, different types of mushrooms, and a selection of noodles. Overall, it’s a great spot. The seafood here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious The price is very reasonable, especially when you consider the outstanding quality and freshness of the ingredients. The river prawns might vary in size from day to day, but most of the time they are impressively large, juicy, and perfectly fresh. The roti is also superb — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and pairs wonderfully with the dishes. Every bite feels like a treat, making this a place well worth visiting for seafood lovers ”
